General purpose particle board is available in standard or Moisture resistant options.
Description
Particle board also known as chipboard is an engineering wood product manufactured from wood chips or particles which are pressure pressed with resin to create a flat board product. The chips in the surface layer are thinner than those in the middle layer, so the surface of the particle board is more dense and more compact than the middle. The surfaces are sanded to create a smooth face and are often coated in materials such as veneer, melamine, laminate etc.
